Advanced Web Ranking – The SEO Tool Kit

By Mark Shergold

Having been an SEO specialist for the last 5 years I have used many tools for monitoring my sites performance and the performance of my competitors, from the range of tools that I have used I cant say there has been any tools that I have paid for that has repaid my investment apart from Advanced Web Ranking. Very cliché I know as there are many reviews out there for this product and I don’t normally use my blog to review anything, but having used AWR for the last 2 years I felt compelled to speak up in support of the products ability as website positioning software. Especially when I hear colleagues and industry fellows talking about the joys of its main competitor Web-CEO, which I have used and can honestly say is not a patch on Advanced Web Ranking.

Ease of Use

The main advantage I found with Advanced Web Ranking was the fact that it was easy to use straight after the install, I remember that when I first installed it, I was able to check my sites rankings straight away. I can’t say that same for other programs I used. I am a technical guy, but even for a novice I would expect anyone to be able to use this tool right out of the box. Furthermore setting up preferences for a new site in order to check the performance of your site is so quick, 4 screens and you can have AWR checking your sites positions.

When selecting your list of target keywords to monitor, AWR has a keyword suggestions tool on the same input and it lists the number searches per month. This is great for doing a bit of keyword research when you are doing proposals for clients. I am not perfect and often I see related keywords in the list when I am adding my keywords to check.

Reporting

My most favourite feature of AWR is the format of the reporting. My company spends a lot of time producing ranking reports for my clients, each month my team spend a fair amount of time glamorising our company reports so that marketing managers can present a nice looking report in their monthly board meeting, packed with graphs and charts etc… Any agency SEO will know exactly what I am talking about. Well AWR has some nice reporting features that have reduced a lot of this work for my team. These facilities alone have saved my company time and paid for the investment into the copies of AWR I have bought.

Multi Tasking

When I produce proposals for new clients I personally find that I collect various pieces of data about the client’s performance and competitor activity. Advanced Web Ranking runs lots of reports at the same time it check the site rankings, the great advantage for me is that at the end of the ranking reports it runs, I can drill down and check the competitors ranking in the top 20 positions in the search space or check the PR of any sites ranking above. I can do this on any keyword I have checked my rankings. Yes, before you ask it does slow down that rank checking slightly, but its worth it for the data that it collects and it is the sort of data you will always go back a refer to each time you run a report. Ask yourself how many times a client has asked mid month which sites are ranking on a certain term, exactly.

I am still confident that I am not using the software to its full potential; every month when I get chance I still finding little things within its toolset that I can use for my clients. They now have Advanced Link Manager now, which I have dabbled with a little but not that much. I am keen to see what this can do. That’s why I love the guys a Caphyon because the application has clearly been designed for SEO specialists with what we ACTUALLY need and not what developers think we need.

Put Yourself on Trial

Advanced Web Ranking is not the cheapest tool on the market, granted if you are purchasing it for your business you could find tools cheaper or similar price. But I honestly challenge you to find something with the ease of use and wealth of tools available in the interface. I have yet to find something to offer more and still give my company report formatting it has.

I have tested and used the main competitor to AWR and frankly I was not impressed, whilst the core function of these tools remain the same the route to get the results is considerably different and over complicated with its competitor that I have tried.

If your not convinced try the 30 day trial at www.advancedwebranking.com and see how you get on, that’s how I got hooked and then I went from upgrade to upgrade. Now I would not see myself working with any other rank checking software and competitor analysis tool. I have converted every single SEO company or colleague I have worked with to Advanced Web Ranking. Give it a try and see how you fair, I am confident you won’t regret it.
